Have installed similar on WK6.5 (did not edit vmx file).
Could not power on a guest vm on the ESX4 vm in WK6.5
So then I did edit the esx4 vm vmx file;
monitor_control.restrict_backdoor = “TRUE”
to stop the “guest” vm from recognizing it was nested.
The error occurs at 60% power-on. Don’t have it with me at the moment but is in the order of “notify vmware with the following information”.
I have 2 esx3.5U4 running fine in WK6.5 with the xtravirt instructions.
Anyone the same?
Or have a fix?
Or am I missing something obvious?
Thanks,
